Dish Network Now Carries Local Network Affiliates

Dish Network is now offering local network channels (including CBS affiliate 35 WSEE) to viewers in Erie, Crawford, and Warren Counties.
According to the folks at the Dish Network and Intertech Digital Entertainment, which provides local service for the dish, that means a cheaper monthly bill and a better picture.
Satellite TV's direct competitor is something you may be more familiar with, cable TV.
General Manager of the local Adelphia Cable Services, Tom Kerry, says satellites providing local channels is something that has made some impact with cable companies around the nation, but he says that impact has not been dramatic.
Kerry says he expects some local folks will "experiment" with the dish. But he says he still believes cable is a better platform for providing all your channels.
So which is better, cable or satellite? That's for you to decide.
Using expanded digital cable with premium channels as an example...the price appears to be .00 cheaper a month with the Dish Network.
But the folks at Adelphia Cable warn customers to read the fine print in any satellite deal for loopholes they say make the price a lot closer to cable.
